Iran prioritizes upgrading relations with Saudi Arabia

The head of Iran’s Hajj and ⁤Pilgrimage Association emphasized the Islamic Republic’s neighborhood policy, stating: “Our foundation in relations​ with neighboring countries, especially Saudi Arabia, is to enhance ties and improve‍ interactions.”

webangah News ⁢Agency reports that Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, stated: “One symbol of Saudi Arabia’s cooperation with Iran has‌ been joint meetings and ongoing agreements. Saudi officials also ‌acknowledged that⁢ without recommendations from their senior leadership, such cooperation might not have materialized.”

Highlighting ‌both sides’ commitment to ‍expanding relations, Bayat ⁢added: “saudi officials have ⁢pledged ‌to ​accommodate our requests as ⁤much ‌as possible. This ​demonstrates ⁣the importance of Iran’s neighborhood ​policy and its friendly approach toward neighboring countries—particularly Saudi Arabia.”

He ‌noted ⁢this approach remains a ⁤top national priority: “We ⁤remain resolute in ‌this policy. Our⁢ political leaders consistently affirm that strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia is a serious priority on our agenda.”
