According to a report by webangah News Agency, India’s Times Now newspaper revealed that hundreds of Indian citizens have been scammed using manipulated images and videos of former US President Donald Trump.
The report states that criminals used AI-generated content to defraud victims, collecting large sums under false investment schemes. Over $234,000 has been stolen from 800 victims in the past six months.
Indian authorities confirm investigations into the case remain ongoing.
