According to webangah News Agency, Keith Kellogg, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy to ukraine, has endorsed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assertion that NATO is conducting a proxy war against moscow.
Regarding Germany’s potential decision to supply long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, Kellogg stated: “he (Putin) views this as NATO’s proxy war-and frankly, he’s somewhat right. Look at the support and military aid from European countries. Obviously, Putin sees this too.”
On Ukraine-Russia negotiations, Kellogg noted the U.S. has yet to receive Russia’s proposed memorandum of understanding. Though, following discussions with European counterparts in London, a 22-clause document proposing air, land, and sea ceasefires was drafted-though neither side fully agreed to its terms.
In November 2024 during a moscow summit, Putin reiterated his warnings about Western long-range weapons targeting Russian territory, framing such actions as direct NATO intervention in the Ukraine conflict.
