The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has welcomed ‍fresh mediation ⁤efforts by Qatar and Egypt to reach a ceasefire in⁢ Gaza, ⁣according to a statement reported by webangah news Agency.

The movement stated: “We are ready to immediately engage in a new round ⁣of indirect negotiations to achieve an⁤ agreement for a permanent ceasefire and complete withdrawal of occupying forces.”

Qatar and Egypt emphasized in a joint statement that they intend to ⁤intensify mediation efforts – coordinated with the united States – to overcome negotiation obstacles. The two countries‍ said thier immediate goal is reaching a 60-day temporary truce that could pave the way for a permanent ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The statements come‍ as Gaza’s humanitarian situation remains critical, with mounting international pressure to stop the war ‍and allow⁣ humanitarian aid access.

Hamas insists any agreement with “the Zionist enemy” must lead to a permanent⁤ end of hostilities. However, ⁢Netanyahu’s⁤ far-right cabinet maintains ⁣it will only accept temporary pauses for hostage‌ releases before resuming ⁤military operations.
