According to webangah News Agency, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem in Beirut on Wednesday, accompanied by Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani.
The two officials held discussions on regional developments during the meeting.
Araghchi emphasized: “We stress the importance of bilateral relations with Lebanon and Iran’s willingness to assist Lebanon and stand by this country based on mutual respect and enhanced cooperation.”
Sheikh Qassem highlighted Iran’s positive role in the region and its support for palestinian resistance, stating: “We appreciate the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khamenei, the presidency, government and people of Iran for their steadfast support of Lebanon’s people and resistance.”
The Hezbollah leader further explained his party’s ”firm belief in tirelessly working to rebuild lebanon while preserving its stability, sovereignty, and expelling occupying forces from the country.”
