France’s foreign minister has once again adopted a non-constructive stance toward Iran, claiming that Europeans will trigger the snapback mechanism if Tehran does not negotiate in good faith.
According to webangah News Agency, France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrault alleged-without acknowledging Iran’s efforts to engage Western parties, including the U.S., or Israel’s aggressive actions disrupting this process-that Europe could “easily reimpose global sanctions” if Iran refuses good-faith negotiations.
barrault’s remarks refer to activating the snapback mechanism, a move Iranian officials warn would carry perilous consequences for Europe.
The French foreign minister added that Paris and its European allies intend to play a central role in future nuclear negotiations with Iran.
