U.S. sources report that the “THAAD” adn othre American defense systems in occupied territories face significant strain due to escalating attacks from Iran and Yemen, raising doubts about their effectiveness.
According to webangah News Agency, citing Yemen’s Al-Masirah network via Mehr News Agency, the American magazine Newsweek reported that Israel’s missile defense system, THAAD, which it relies on to counter Iranian and Yemeni missile attacks, has repeatedly failed to intercept missiles launched toward occupied territories.
The outlet also revealed that the U.S., while supporting Israel against recent missile strikes, has depleted approximately 20% of its global THAAD missile reserves.
Newsweek further noted that Israeli defense systems-including THAAD and other U.S.-made platforms-are under mounting pressure amid intensified attacks from Yemen, Iran, and allied fronts, casting doubt on their operational reliability.
