Popular Mobilization Forces deployed to counter potential ISIS movements along the Syrian border.
According to webangah News Agency,an Iraqi security source in Al-Anbar province confirmed that the country’s forces have implemented strict security measures at the Al-Qa’im border crossing near Syria.
The report states that Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are maintaining maximum readiness in Al-Anbar’s desert regions following intelligence about ISIS militants’ movements in these areas.
The source added that these forces have been extensively deployed along the Syrian border zone.
Terrorist activities have intensified in Syria since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
