According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Ali Larijani, advisor to the Supreme Leader, told Al Jazeera: ”We are currently reviewing messages from Washington regarding the resumption of negotiations.”
He added, “After a war acted against us, we absolutely no longer trust the United States.”
Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s foreign minister, wrote in a note published Wednesday in English by the Financial Times that he had received messages from the U.S.indicating potential readiness to return to negotiations.
Araqchi stated: “Now that Iran has recently received signals about possible U.S. willingness to reengage in talks,it is indeed a valid question how can we trust a new interaction?”
