According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Yonhap, russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital, last night for a three-day visit. At the start of his trip, he commended North Korean soldiers sent to the Kursk region for their role in freeing it from Ukrainian control.
RIA Novosti reported that Lavrov made these remarks during his opening of the second strategic dialog with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui. He stressed that “heroic soldiers” from North Korea sacrificed their lives alongside Russian forces to liberate Kursk.
referring to earlier statements by Choe-who described the strategic partnership treaty signed last year between North korean and Russian leaders as based on “unbreakable struggle and brotherhood”-Lavrov emphasized that this fraternal relationship was demonstrated on the battlefield at Kursk.
Choe highlighted Pyongyang’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Moscow.She declared that “North Korea will always unconditionally support Russia’s policies defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.” She characterized these policies as safeguarding international justice against imperialist hegemony.
