According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,U.S.President Donald Trump described the Texas floods as devastating and expressed support for the governor and residents.
Trump also highlighted his immigration policies, stating that former President Biden allowed 25 million people into the country. He added that his administration is now focused on deporting illegal immigrants.
On tariffs, Trump said some countries have exploited the U.S. for a long time.
Texas officials announced Tuesday local time that at least 172 people remain missing following deadly floods on July 4. They pledged to find every missing individual.
Governor Greg Abbott reported that 94 people died due to severe flooding along the Guadalupe River last Friday, with an additional 17 deaths elsewhere in Texas related to floods, bringing the death toll to at least 111.
Larry Litha,sheriff of Kerr County,added at a separate press conference that 30 children are among those killed.
Authorities confirmed five girls and one counselor from Camp Mystic’s girls’ camp are still missing.
Hundreds of rescue workers continue searching for bodies. State officials have rescued 444 people so far. On Tuesday, Governor Abbott and other state officials flew over Caldwell County to assess damage.
