Qatar to Compensate for Iran’s Attacks on US Base

Qatar’s government announced it has begun assessing damages resulting‌ from Iranian missile attacks on the U.S. Al Udeid Air ⁢Base ⁤to arrange compensation.

According to the English section of ⁤ webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News‌ Agency, Qatar’s⁣ official ⁤news agency reported that the government is reviewing efforts ⁣to evaluate damages inflicted on the property of Qatari citizens and residents caused by intercepting Iranian missiles during an ‍attack on the ⁢U.S. Al Udeid base.

The⁢ media source adds⁣ that this initiative began under the directive of Sheikh​ Tamim‌ bin Hamad Al Thani,⁣ Emir of Qatar, aiming at compensating these losses. An unusual session of Qatar’s Civil Defense Council was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh khalifa bin Ahmed bin Khalifa⁤ Al Thani, involving internal security commanders and⁣ relevant stakeholders.

The statement further⁣ notes that this meeting focused ⁤on immediate measures to assess harm caused by air defense systems while intercepting Iranian missiles and implementing rapid ⁤executive⁢ steps for damage compensation arising from⁢ these operations.
