The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that it had summoned the Norwegian chargé d’affaires in Moscow to express its objection to new limitations placed on Russian fishing vessels.
The statement from the ministry noted that the Norwegian official was called in specifically to protest these measures.
It added that Russia emphasized to the Norwegian diplomat that Oslo’s unfriendly actions violate bilateral agreements concerning fisheries cooperation.
