Israeli Military Chief Cancels Planned U.S. Visit
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, reported that the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post has announced, based on informed sources, that Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, has canceled his scheduled trip to Washington planned for tuesday this week.
According to the report, Zamir linked the cancellation to the lack of agreement on a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and stated that he will only proceed with such a visit once such an agreement is reached.
