Russian Missile Strike Hits Ukraine’s Capital

News sources report that Kyiv, Ukraine, has once again been targeted by‍ a ⁤Russian missile attack.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr​ News Agency and Reuters quoting a Ukrainian military official, Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, was hit by a Russian missile strike in the ⁢early hours of⁤ Sunday.

No⁤ details have yet been released regarding the number ​of missiles launched, specific targets struck, or any casualties or damage incurred.

This attack occurred hours after the International‌ Atomic Energy ⁢agency (IAEA) reported‌ an explosion near‌ a Ukrainian nuclear power plant.

Rafael Grossi,Director General of ⁤the IAEA,stated that members‌ of his agency’s team stationed at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant heard explosions on Saturday ⁣morning and saw smoke billowing near the site.

In an⁤ official statement, grossi explained: “One auxiliary facility at this power plant was attacked. Reports indicate that around 9 a.m. local time it was subjected to shelling and drone strikes; this coincided with observers from our agency hearing military activity.”

He added: “The support facility is located approximately 1.2 ⁣kilometers from Zaporizhzhia’s main site. Our team⁢ continued to observe smoke along that⁤ path into the afternoon.”
