Turkey Arrests 26 on Charges of Collaborating with ISIS

Turkey’s Interior ⁤Minister‍ announced‍ that 26 ⁣suspects have been arrested in gendarmerie operations against the‌ terrorist group⁣ ISIS ⁤across 14 provinces.

According to the English section of⁤ webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya‌ stated on social media that ⁤gendarmerie forces conducted ⁢operations against ISIS ‍members in 14 provinces, resulting in⁤ the detention‍ of 26 suspects.

The minister added that these operations targeted ISIS ​cells in provinces including Ankara and Istanbul.

He confirmed that authorities seized a meaningful amount of organizational documents and digital materials during the ⁣raids.

Yerlikaya expressed gratitude to those involved in carrying out these operations and emphasized, “Our fight against terrorism is not limited to ‍security forces’ field actions; it relies on a ⁣multidimensional government response encompassing security, intelligence, communications, ​and international cooperation.”
