The European Union ⁢has once again postponed its planned tariffs against the United states.

The English section⁢ of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, reported that a ‌European Commission spokesperson announced on Monday‌ that‌ the EU will⁤ suspend two packages of retaliatory⁣ measures against U.S.‍ tariffs for‌ six months following an agreement with President Donald ⁤Trump.

According to these reports,EU officials indicated they expect further executive orders ⁣soon.

The European ⁣Commission‌ spokesperson ⁢stated: ‌”The EU continues‍ to work with the United States to finalize a ⁣joint statement, as agreed on July 27. With these objectives in ⁣mind, the Commission will take ⁤necessary‍ steps to ⁣implement a‌ six-month‌ suspension of the EU’s countermeasures against Washington, which were originally set to begin this ‍month.”

Reuters noted ⁣that the retaliatory tariffs fall into two categories: one responding to U.S. steel and aluminum duties, and another targeting base goods and automobiles⁢ under Trump’s tariff policies.
