According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Belgium has endorsed scientific sanctions against Israel.
Maxime Prévot, Belgium’s Foreign Minister, announced on Tuesday that Belgium supports the European Commission’s proposal to partially suspend Israel’s involvement in EU research initiatives.
He added that if Denmark succeeds in securing enough votes, this will mark Europe’s first tangible sanction against Israel during the Gaza war.
The Belgian Foreign Minister also criticized the current aid delivery system to Gaza, stating: ”Airdropping assistance into Gaza is insufficient. Full, rapid, and unrestricted access for humanitarian aid must be guaranteed.”
israel has closed Gaza’s crossings, causing severe hunger among residents. The limited airdropped aid appears as a clear attempt by Israel to mislead global public opinion.
