The European Union is preparing sanctions against China for supplying drone components to Russia and supporting its military offensive in Ukraine.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, reports that according to a European diplomat, EU officials are drafting sanctions targeting China for providing drone parts to Russia and backing its war efforts against Ukraine.
Politico, quoting this source, stated that the EU alleges China supplied drone engines disguised as refrigeration components to help Russia evade Western sanctions.
The source added that the EU plans to adopt these measures after August.
Despite Western claims, China maintains it will not assist any party involved in the conflict. It supports a diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine crisis and insists on strict controls over exports of dual-use goods (both military and civilian).
