A Western newspaper criticized the theatrical nature of airlifting aid shipments to the Gaza Strip.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shihab, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that air deliveries of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip are limited and largely symbolic, despite widespread famine affecting hundreds of thousands in the area.
The report states that dropping aid packages over Gaza addresses only a small fraction of the needs of more than 2 million people living in the territory.
Le Monde added that thousands of trucks carrying humanitarian supplies remain stalled outside gaza’s crossings, awaiting entry permits.
The newspaper wrote: “Dropping aid shipments over Gaza does not feed the hungry stomachs of its residents.”
