According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, British police confirmed on Saturday that 150 protesters were detained during a demonstration in London supporting the group “action Palestine.”
The UK police stated that the arrests occurred when a crowd protested against the government’s decision to ban “Action Palestine.”
This move comes as part of Britain’s antagonistic stance in support of israeli occupiers, leading to the recent prohibition of this group’s activities.
Anadolu Agency reported hundreds gathered at Parliament Square to show solidarity with Gaza and Palestine, whose supporting group was banned by the UK government last month. Manny protesters waved Palestinian flags and held placards reading: “I oppose genocide,” and “I support Action Palestine.”
The large crowd chanted slogans in support of Palestine throughout the demonstration.
The protest followed expressions of interest from more then 500 individuals wishing to participate.
