According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Nashra, the Lebanese Army stated in a declaration: Amid the exceptional challenges Lebanon currently faces-especially ongoing Israeli attacks, violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty, and sensitive security conditions-some individuals on social media have called for protest movements. Fake files have been circulated intending to incite tension among citizens.
the Lebanese Army warned citizens about endangering national security due to what it described as reckless actions. While respecting freedom of expression, the army declared it will not allow any disruption to security, harm to peace and coexistence, road blockades, or attacks on public or private property. Citizens and all groups must act responsibly during this difficult period and recognize the importance of unity and solidarity to overcome the threats facing our country.
This army statement comes as the goverment’s American-backed stance against resistance weapons has pushed the situation toward a hazardous phase. Instead of addressing Israeli violations in southern Lebanon and prioritizing national interests as expected, surprisingly, pressures on Hezbollah for disarmament have intensified.
