According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, the Kremlin announced on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The statement from the Kremlin said that during the call, President Putin updated his Brazilian counterpart on the outcomes of his discussion with Witteckoff, the US president’s special envoy who recently traveled to Moscow.
The Kremlin added that President Lula expressed support for efforts aimed at resolving the ukraine crisis.Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening strategic relations and partnership between Russia and Brazil, and also cooperation within the BRICS framework.
