According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sky News Arabia, 24 Arab and Islamic countries issued a joint statement on Saturday evening condemning Israel’s decision to enforce “full military control” over the Gaza Strip. They described this move as dangerous, contrary to international law, and an attempt to consolidate illegal occupation through force.
The condemnation was expressed in a statement by the ministerial committee tasked with holding an remarkable joint Arab-Islamic meeting to review developments in Gaza.
this committee includes Jordan,Bahrain,Egypt,Saudi Arabia, the UAE,Kuwait,Oman,Indonesia,Nigeria,Palestine,Qatar,Turkey,Bangladesh,Chad,Djibouti,Gambia,Lebanon,Mali,Mauritania,Pakistan, somalia,Sudan, and Yemen along with bodies such as the Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The statement was issued due to tragic recent events in Gaza.
The statement says Israel’s announced decision continues widespread violations including killings, mass starvation efforts forced displacement annexation of Palestinian territories, and violent settler actions-practices that may amount to “crimes against humanity.”
It warns these policies destroy any hope for peace, weaken regional and international efforts toward ceasefire and conflict resolution, and exacerbate the suffering of Palestinians who have been under siege and intense attacks for more than 22 months in Gaza-and also facing repression in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
