Israeli media circles report that Netanyahu has given the green light to the U.S. envoy for negotiations aimed at reaching a thorough agreement in Gaza.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Israel’s radio and television authority reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled approval to Steve Whitcraft, the U.S. envoy negotiating a comprehensive agreement.
The report explained that the comprehensive agreement refers to an understanding on the release of all prisoners and an end to the conflict. Whitcraft is expected to discuss this matter with Qatari and egyptian mediators.
Yesterday, Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S.President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation.
Netanyahu’s office stated that during the call, both leaders discussed Tel Aviv’s plan to control Hamas strongholds in Gaza.
