Gargash⁣ wrote‍ on⁢ X: “What is wrong with an approach that calls‍ for‌ an immediate ceasefire in a war causing ‍civilian suffering and tearing‍ Sudan apart?”

He added: ⁢”The position of‍ the UAE and most countries worldwide is to establish‍ a ceasefire, prioritize humanitarian aid, and ⁤follow a path leading to an independent ‌civilian government. Both sides in this civil conflict-the Sudanese army and⁤ the Rapid Support Forces-should be asked⁣ what objection they ⁢have to such an approach.”

Earlier, the UAE⁢ ministry⁢ of Foreign Affairs ‍called for an end to conflicts in Sudan and accused the sudanese government of ‍spreading misleading and false information.

While ⁤some foreign parties face accusations of intervening in Sudan’s internal conflict-especially ‍allegations against the UAE supporting Rapid Support forces-Sudan has also accused the UAE of recruiting Colombian mercenaries to fight alongside these forces⁢ with financial backing.
