Global Condemnation Follows Killing of Five Al Jazeera Journalists in Gaza

The killing of five Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza ‍by the Israeli regime has ‍drawn widespread condemnation from ​international officials.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing al Jazeera Qatar and Mehr News Agency,⁤ the⁢ Israeli regime’s ‌targeting of five Al Jazeera journalists during an airstrike in Gaza ⁤has been met with strong denunciations from international authorities and foreign‍ ministers.

Kaja Kallas, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs, issued a statement saying: “We strongly condemn the killing of five ⁢Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza.”

Meanwhile, Ofer Bronstein, advisor to the President of France, told ⁣Al Jazeera: “The lives of journalists must always be protected. We ‌strongly condemn what happened.” He also called on Israel to open borders for journalists so they can ⁣continue thier professional duties.

simultaneously occurring, a UK Minister for Middle East Affairs ⁣expressed serious concern over the deaths but did not mention Britain’s backing of Israel’s actions. The minister stated: ​”The killing of five Al⁣ Jazeera journalists and repeated targeting of reporters in‍ Gaza is deeply troubling” and emphasized that “journalists risk their lives on front⁣ lines to deliver news.”

The​ Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement condemning Israel’s attacks against Al ⁤Jazeera correspondents and cameramen in Gaza. it described thes acts as war crimes and called for prosecution and accountability.

The Swedish Foreign Minister commented on the dire situation ⁢in Gaza and announced a request to‌ suspend parts ⁤of its trade partnership ⁣agreement with Israel.

on ⁣Monday, Anas al-Sharif and Mohammad Qureiqa-both Al Jazeera reporters-along with⁤ cameraman Ibrahim Zaher, cameraman Moamen Aliwa, camera assistant Mohammad Noufal, ‍and Mohammad al-Khalidi were killed during an Israeli strike on a press compound within ⁢al-Shifa Hospital grounds in Gaza.
