According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and ABC News,US police have confirmed that three people were killed during a shooting on Monday local time outside a Target store in Austin,Texas. The 32-year-old suspect has been taken into custody.
The police reported that at 2:15 p.m. local time, they received a call about gunfire on Research Boulevard near the Target store. When officers arrived at the scene, three individuals were found with gunshot wounds.
The suspect then carjacked a vehicle from the Target parking lot and fled the scene. The owner of the stolen vehicle was among those killed in the incident.
Austin police located and arrested the suspect in South Austin after receiving an anonymous tip about his whereabouts.
The suspect was apprehended using a stun gun during arrest procedures.
Investigations into the details and motive behind the shooting are ongoing.
Initial reports from local emergency services had cited four fatalities, but this number was later corrected to three.
