Australian Prime Minister: Israel’s Imposed Famine in Gaza Is Unacceptable

Australia’s Prime Minister stated in an interview: We see people in⁣ Gaza ‍dying ​while⁢ trying to access food and water; this is absolutely ​unacceptable in 2025.

According to ‍teh English section ​of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, ‌Australian Prime Minister Anthony albanese emphasized ⁤in⁣ an ⁣interview with ABC News that the famine imposed by the Israeli occupation on Gaza-and ⁣the resulting​ hunger and human casualties-are “absolutely unacceptable.”

The australian Prime Minister added that Israel announced ‍in March ⁣it would restrict humanitarian aid flows, and now⁢ we are witnessing the consequences. ‌A humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Gaza.

When asked⁣ if intentionally starving people could be considered a war crime under ‍international law, albanese ‍replied that ‌it definately contradicts ‍international law.

Referring to⁣ restrictions on journalists​ entering Gaza, Albanese said⁣ despite these limits, people witness the crisis on television every night. There are individuals suffering extreme‌ hardship, hunger, and death. We also ⁣see people being killed while trying to obtain food and water. Such ​conditions⁤ are entirely unacceptable in 2025.

The Australian Prime Minister ​stressed ⁢that what ‍is happening in Gaza is ​an affront to‌ humanity and⁣ human values.

Previously, he had announced that Australia will recognize palestine at the upcoming​ United Nations General Assembly​ session in September.
