Iraq’s Minister of Transport Discusses Measures Taken​ by the Ministry for Arbaeen ⁣Ceremony

The ‍Minister of​ Transport of Iraq, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Sa’dawi, stated that field inspections are ‍ongoing with ‌advanced teams from ​the⁤ ministry within ⁤Karbala city to ⁢monitor the implementation of transport ⁤services for the Arbaeen ceremony.

He explained that the main‍ routes under the ‌ministry’s responsibility include‌ major corridors such as Karbala-Baghdad. The ministry commenced its plan on the first day of Safar by ⁢transporting pilgrims from border crossings to Karbala.

Referring to other departments joining this effort after six consecutive days, he emphasized that Al-Musafirin wa Al-Wufud Company contributed with 600‍ buses, and the railway company participated with 12 trains. Additionally, Iraqi airlines along with public companies specializing⁤ in ports, land transport, and maritime transport supported the initiative.

The minister added that all ⁢sectors of the ministry have ‍also been involved in providing cold water,ice,and other services to pilgrims attending Imam Hussein’s shrine. Their presence in⁣ Karbala remains steadfast as thay assist in returning pilgrims home-especially during the upcoming two peak days‌ of ceremonies.

He stressed that⁢ the Ministry of Transport is ⁤fully prepared ⁢and will remain in Karbala until every ⁣pilgrim has safely returned from this⁤ holy city.
