According to webangah News agency, hundreds of reserve forces, officers, and commanders of the Israeli military who participated in the war against Gaza signed a petition addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. They called on them to refrain from occupying Gaza City and rather pursue an agreement for prisoner release and an end to the conflict.
The petition directed at Netanyahu’s cabinet states: “Prolonging and expanding the war harms Israel’s security. The heavy burden of this plan falls on us and our families.”
the soldiers acknowledged that Israel’s international standing has weakened and emphasized that the war against Gaza must stop.
This comes despite the Israeli cabinet approving a plan to occupy Gaza without considering the tired state of its military forces.
