The Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements regarding Greater Israel as highly provocative and dangerous, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sawt Al-Quds.
In an official statement, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry described Netanyahu’s remarks as a threat to national sovereignty that violates international law and the United Nations Charter. The ministry emphasized that Netanyahu’s baseless claims neither harm Jordan or Arab countries nor diminish the rights of the Palestinian people.
The statement further declared: “We strongly condemn Netanyahu’s commitment to the so-called Greater Israel ideal and consider his comments as escalating dangerous tensions. These remarks threaten sovereignty, breach international law, and violate UN principles.”
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry added that netanyahu’s statements and actions reflect his cabinet’s deep crisis amid increasing international isolation, especially in light of ongoing violence in Gaza and the West Bank.
The ministry urged the international community to take decisive steps to halt Israeli occupation measures, which jeopardize global stability, security, and peace.
benjamin Netanyahu recently revived discussions around Tel Aviv’s expansionist ambitions during a televised interview where he emphasized his “emotional connection” to the dream of Greater Israel-a comment that drew widespread criticism.
In an interview with i24 News network, Netanyahu claimed: “I am on a historic spiritual mission connected emotionally to the vision of Greater Israel.” He also revealed that Tel aviv is in talks with “several countries” willing to host Palestinians.
Al Jazeera reported these comments come amid intensified Zionist propaganda on “Greater Israel,” echoing views promoted by groups like The Torah and Land Institute. These claims assert past borders extending from the Euphrates River in the east to the Nile River in the south-encompassing vast Arab territories beyond occupied Palestine.
