According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Pakistani police announced on Wednesday that militants detonated a major gas pipeline in the country’s northwest.
The incident caused the suspension of gas delivery to Punjab, pakistan’s largest province.
Amir Khan, a local police spokesperson, told media outlets that this explosion is the latest in a series of similar attacks over recent months in the troubled Lakki Marwat area of Khyber pakhtunkhwa province.
Khan said militants planted explosives on the pipeline and triggered them remotely.
The blast disrupted gas flow specifically to Punjab’s Mianwali region.
This marks the fourth attack at this location within less than three months.
