According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr news Agency and Al-Khalij Online,Qatar’s Foreign Ministry reacted sharply to comments made by the Prime Minister of israel about the so-called Greater Israel vision, condemning Netanyahu’s statements in strong terms.
The ministry’s statement declared: ”Qatar expresses it’s condemnation and rejection of the remarks by the occupying regime’s Prime Minister concerning what is known as Greater Israel. We view these statements as a continuation of a policy based on occupation, intimidation, crisis instigation, conflict, clear violations of sovereignty of countries, international law, the United Nations Charter, and legitimate international resolutions.”
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry added that these baseless claims and provocative statements will not harm the legitimate rights of Arab countries and peoples.
The ministry also emphasized the necessity for global solidarity against such provocative actions that risk exposing the region to further violence and chaos.
The statement further affirmed Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace in the region while strengthening regional and international security and stability.
It is worth noting that benjamin Netanyahu revived discussions about Tel Aviv’s expansionist ambitions during a televised interview. He emphasized his “emotional connection” to the dream of Greater Israel-a declaration that sparked widespread critical responses.
In an interview with i24 Network, Netanyahu claimed: “I am on a past and spiritual mission and am emotionally tied to the vision of greater Israel.”
He also said that Tel Aviv is in talks with “several countries” that could potentially host Palestinians.
According to Al Jazeera reports, these remarks came amid ongoing propaganda campaigns within Zionist circles promoting the concept of Greater Israel. This idea echoes viewpoints from institutions like The Torah & Land Institute which assert historical borders for Israel stretching from eastward at the Euphrates River to southward along the Nile River. This plan entails seizing vast areas beyond occupied Palestine across Arab lands.
