Following a virtual consultation between Trump and European leaders, the President of the European Commission announced: We will continue close coordination with our partners and seek a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said today that Europe, the United States, and NATO have strengthened their common ground with Ukraine. this statement came after a virtual meeting between European leaders and U.S. President Donald Trump.
Von der Leyen added, “We will maintain close coordination in relation to Ukraine. We will continue working closely with our partners and are committed to achieving a just and enduring peace in Ukraine.”
Earlier on Wednesday, ahead of his Friday meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Alaska, U.S. President Donald Trump held a virtual summit with European leaders,NATO’s Secretary-General,and Ukraine’s president.
