Dmitry Peskov,spokesperson for the Kremlin,said on Thursday that issues related to resolving the Ukraine crisis will be discussed during the Russia-U.S. meeting in Alaska, according to webangah News Agency.
Peskov added that it is not expected any document will be signed at the conclusion of President Putin adn President Trump’s talks in Alaska. Preparations for their meeting were completed quickly, with all parameters observed. Vitkoff’s visit to Russia was constructive and sent signals that allowed both sides to prepare for this high-level encounter.
He stressed that predicting the outcome of the Russia-U.S. talks in Alaska would be premature.”It is too early to say now,” he noted. Following the meeting, Putin and Trump are expected to outline a range of agreements and understandings they might achieve.Both leaders have expressed willingness and readiness to engage in dialog over complex issues.
peskov also remarked that Russia likely will never receive an appropriate response from European countries.
