According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, 31 Arab and Islamic nations, together with the Arab League, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Gulf Cooperation Council issued a joint statement condemning Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks about the so-called “Greater Israel” plan.
The statement reads: Netanyahu’s comments on this plan constitute a blatant violation of international law. They pose a clear threat to Arab national security, state sovereignty, as well as regional and international security and peace.
The declaration adds that Arab and Islamic countries will undertake all necessary measures to achieve peace free from illusions based on Gaza occupation and coercion. It condemned Bezalel Smotrich’s statements regarding settlement expansion plans and also his racist remarks opposing the establishment of a Palestinian state. The signatories call on the international community to pressure Israel to halt its aggression and fully withdraw from Gaza. They reaffirm their firm opposition to any form or pretext for forcibly displacing Palestinians.

Bezalel Smotrich,Israel’s Finance Minister,announced plans for constructing 3,401 new housing units in area E1 near Ma’ale Adumim close to Jerusalem in the West Bank. He said this project aims at burying any prospects for an self-reliant palestinian state.
The hardline minister added that this initiative involves building over 3,400 new homes in Ma’ale Adumim near Jerusalem-a move intended to sever territorial continuity between Ramallah and Bethlehem.
