turkey’s president commented on yesterday’s meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United states in alaska, stating that the Putin-Trump talks provide renewed motivation to resolve the Ukraine conflict.
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, turkish President Recep tayyip Erdoğan addressed the recent meeting between Russia’s and America’s presidents in Alaska.
Erdoğan said, “The negotiations between Putin and Trump in Alaska create new momentum for resolving the Ukraine dispute. Turkey welcomes this meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States.”
He added, “Turkey hopes for lasting peace in Ukraine and is ready to participate in achieving it.”
The summit took place yesterday,Friday,as U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Alaska.
