According to the English section of webangah news Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Andriy Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, said: “We welcome Washington’s positive signals about its readiness to expand security guarantees for Ukraine.”
He added,”Putin must understand the consequences of prolonging the war.”
The Ukrainian foreign minister emphasized that increasing pressure on Moscow and enhancing Ukraine’s strength are basic for advancing the peace process.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: “We need real peace, not just a temporary halt to Russian attacks. I stressed to President Trump that intensifying pressure on Russia is essential and ther must be strong, long-term security guarantees.”
Zelensky also declared: “Europe and America must provide security assurances; territorial issues cannot be resolved without us. I emphasized to President Trump that ramping up sanctions against Russia is necessary if it avoids a just end to the war.”
