Macron Signals Approval for Transferring Ukrainian Territories to Russia

The President of France, ahead of tomorrow’s meeting between Trump⁢ and Zelensky​ at the White House, stated that no country will agree to cede its territory unless it receives security guarantees for the remaining lands.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr​ News Agency and Al Jazeera, French President Emmanuel ⁤Macron spoke⁢ on⁢ Sunday, echoing Russia’s alarming stance by claiming: “If we show weakness ⁣toward Russia today, we pave the ⁣way for future conflicts.”

On the ‌eve of a meeting ⁢in Washington involving Ukraine’s president, leaders from several European countries, and the US‍ president, Macron⁢ added: “The situation before tomorrow’s talks in Washington is critical not only for Ukraine​ but also for Europe. We must⁢ enter​ a new phase of diplomacy regarding Ukraine. Europe must have a seat at ‌the negotiation table.”

Macron ‍further stated: “We seek lasting peace and ⁣always respect Ukraine’s ​territorial⁢ integrity. Ukraine should serve as a ‌model⁣ in any future developments. The structure ‌of Ukraine’s army is ​fundamental to any ⁣security guarantees‍ for ⁣the country. To achieve a ⁣lasting peace agreement, Ukraine needs ​a strong ⁣military. no nation will consent to ceding⁢ its land without receiving security‌ assurances over its remaining territory.”

When asked⁣ whether Putin desires peace, the French president responded: “I do not think so.”
