According to the English section of webangah news Agency,citing mehr News Agency adn Yemen’s Al Masirah network,American media reported that tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets condemning the slaughter of women and children in Gaza.
The report stated that Columbus Circle in Manhattan was completely shut down.
This occurred after thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered near Central Park.
The march, held outside the New York public library, was described as “the first large-scale protest in America focusing on Israel’s imposed starvation policy in Gaza.”
Organizers said tens of thousands participated, with some traveling by bus from other cities to New York.
The demonstration was organized by a coalition that included groups such as People’s Assembly, The response Coalition, and Code Pink. It coincided with international aid agencies reporting escalating hunger conditions in Gaza.
According to data from the United Nations-supported Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) system, Gaza is currently facing its worst famine situation.
