The FSB statement confirmed that the Ukrainian drone was detected and intercepted over the Smolensk nuclear power facility.
Simultaneously occurring, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Kyiv’s terrorist drone attack on critical infrastructure at the Smolensk nuclear power plant had been foiled.
No further details have been released.
It is noteworthy that the Ukraine conflict began after Western disregard for Moscow’s security concerns and NATO’s expansion toward Russia’s borders. In response to these unmet demands, Moscow launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
