New Revelations from Israeli Media on Iran’s Missile Attack on Vazan Facilities

An ⁤Israeli‍ newspaper has revealed ⁣new details about Iran’s missile attack on the ‍Bazan petrochemical⁢ facilities located in Haifa Port in the occupied territories.

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reports that⁢ the Israeli newspaper ⁣Israel Hayom described Iran’s missile operation‌ against Bazan’s petrochemical facilities‌ in Haifa during the 12-day ‌war imposed by the US and Israel on Iran. The article⁤ stated that this attack ‍proved‍ Israel’s internal infrastructure is never immune ⁤and highlighted ⁢that situating such infrastructure underground‌ is an unavoidable security ⁢necessity.

The report ⁣provided new details about the missile strikes on June ⁣16, noting that at dawn a single Iranian missile struck‍ Bazan’s installations. ⁣Three individuals expected to be inside rooms within the complex‍ were killed, ⁢trapped amid debris⁢ and raging fires ‌at the site.

Israel Hayom added⁢ that the⁣ attack‍ caused extensive damage to energy facilities⁤ and refinery equipment.⁢ As a result, Bazan announced it would fully suspend operations and planned‌ to resume ‌activity over coming⁢ months.

The newspaper also noted that shortly ⁤after⁢ the strike, ⁣Israeli authorities attempted heavy media censorship to prevent images of ⁣the missile impact from being published. However, footage of the ⁤direct hit was broadcast live on Al ⁢Jazeera, forcing Israel to acknowledge that censorship efforts‌ were ineffective.

Israel Hayom ‍emphasized that ⁢such a severe strike demonstrated⁤ how placing this refinery within a densely populated area near haifa port entails significant ‍risks and⁢ high costs for Israel.
