Russia Strongly Rejects NATO-Backed Troop Deployment in Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of‌ Foreign Affairs strongly rejects ‌the ⁢deployment ⁢of forces in‌ Ukraine⁢ involving NATO⁤ ahead of a ​summit between European⁢ leaders, the Ukrainian​ president, and the U.S. president at the White House.

According to the English section of ‍ webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued ‌a statement on Monday ahead of a meeting between‌ European officials, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and U.S. President Donald Trump at the ⁣White House.The ​ministry firmly ‍rejected any ‍scenario involving NATO forces deployed in ukraine.

The statement from‌ russia’s foreign⁣ ministry added that recent⁤ remarks from UK officials regarding ‌Ukraine following the Alaska summit undermine Moscow and Washington’s‌ peace efforts. These statements‍ will further⁣ escalate the conflict.

It also ⁤criticized London’s policies for​ eliminating any chance ‌for⁤ Ukraine to exit the conflict peacefully. The ministry urged Britain to⁢ cease political maneuvers ⁣and refrain from interfering in negotiations between Moscow and Washington.

Last Friday⁢ in Alaska, Russian President Vladimir Putin ⁤met with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss resolving the crisis in Ukraine.

Following this summit, European leaders alongside Volodymyr Zelensky are scheduled‌ to meet shortly at the ‌White House with President Trump to discuss and exchange‌ views on the‌ war in Ukraine.
