According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah, the Israeli newspaper Calcalist reported that a 12-day war with Iran set back the Israeli economy by an entire year.
Channel 13 of Israeli television also cited the Central Bureau of Statistics, reporting that Tel Aviv’s economy showed a decline in positive economic indicators during the second quarter of this year. This downturn marks the first such drop since the onset of the Gaza conflict.
The report stated that war with Iran has negatively impacted Israel’s economic developments and key indicators.
Earlier, Maariv had acknowledged that conflict with Iran has cost Tel Aviv tens of billions of shekels. Some estimates put this figure at up to $14 billion USD.
Israeli media further reported that expenses related to attacks on Gaza have already reached $81 billion USD.
