51 Palestinians Killed in Gaza

Hospital sources in Gaza have reported that as early this morning, 51 people⁤ have been killed across various⁤ parts of Gaza‍ due too attacks by the⁣ Israeli military.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,⁤ citing Al-Masirah via‍ Mehr News Agency, hospital sources in Gaza ⁤confirmed that 51 people⁤ have been killed so far today in different areas of Gaza as an inevitable result of‍ attacks by the Israeli army.

Palestinian sources reported ⁤five fatalities and several injuries from‌ israeli artillery ⁣strikes targeting the⁣ Jabaliya al-Nazlah area in ‍northern Gaza.

Hospital⁢ authorities also stated that a young girl was killed and several others injured ⁤during an attack on the al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

The same sources noted that in deir al-Balah, central Gaza, an Israeli strike targeted a bicycle, resulting in one death.

Meanwhile, recent data from the United Nations and rescue ‍security ⁤databases indicate that last year ‍saw almost a one-third increase‌ in rescue worker⁢ fatalities worldwide-especially within the occupied territories-with numbers reaching around 400. This marks the ⁤highest recorded toll since 1997.

According to this report, 383 aid workers died‌ in 2024 alone, nearly half‍ of whom were based in Gaza and‍ the occupied Palestinian territories.

Tam Fletcher, UN Deputy Secretary-General ‌for Humanitarian affairs, condemned these attacks‌ as a consequence of “the shameful indifference” displayed by the international ⁢community toward this issue.

Preliminary data show‍ that 265 aid workers ⁢lost their lives this year so far: 173 deaths occurred ‌in Gaza; 36 were recorded in Sudan; and 3 took place in Ukraine.

One ⁤of the deadliest‌ incidents happened last March when 15 aid workers ‌and emergency personnel were killed across three separate incidents caused by Israeli fire. The victims were afterward buried together⁣ in a ⁤mass grave.

The Israel Defense ⁣Forces⁤ attributed these events to “operational misunderstandings” and failure to comply with higher command instructions. A commander was dismissed over‌ these operations.

experts note that although aid workers⁢ enjoy ⁣protections under international humanitarian law, ‌ther are few instances where legal action has been pursued against such ⁢attacks.
