Australia Fires Back at Netanyahu: Power Is Not Measured by Child Killing

Australia’s Home Minister responded to Netanyahu’s ‍criticism of his country’s president over the recognition of Palestine, stating that power is not measured by​ killing ‍civilians or starving children.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ​and Al Manar, Australia strongly rejected remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister​ Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu accused australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of being a “weak politician who betrayed ‌Israel” after Canberra recognized Palestine.

Australia’s Home Minister Tony Burke,​ responding to Netanyahu’s comments⁤ on ⁣the public broadcaster ABC, said: “Power is not‌ measured by ​how many people‌ you can blow up or ⁢how many children you can ⁣let starve.”

Burke‌ added that true power was demonstrated by Albanese when he made a decision he knew ‌israel would oppose but directly confronted ‌Netanyahu and⁤ clearly stated Australia’s ‌position.
