France’s Minister‌ Delegate for European ⁤Affairs responded to⁤ Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements against Emmanuel Macron.

According⁢ to the English section‌ of ‌ webangah News Agency, citing Al ‌Mayadeen, Benjamin Haddad, france’s‍ Minister Delegate for European Affairs, ⁢condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempt to link the recognition of Palestine with ⁢antisemitism as ⁤”shameful” and fallacious.

On Tuesday, Haddad responded to⁣ Netanyahu’s claims⁤ that French president Emmanuel Macron was fueling antisemitism by ‌stating that ⁣France “does not need lessons on combating antisemitism.”

Following international efforts‌ to recognize the State of Palestine, Netanyahu sent ‌a⁢ letter to Macron accusing the French president of “fanning the flames of antisemitism.”

In his ⁢letter, Netanyahu ⁤warned that Macron’s public criticism of Israel and his support for Palestinian recognition coincided⁣ with a troubling rise⁤ in antisemitic incidents in France.

The Israeli ‌prime minister argued that Macron’s statements strengthened⁢ Hamas’ position⁤ and increased hatred toward Jews‌ across⁤ Europe.

Late last month, macron announced that France ⁤would officially recognize Palestine ‍at ‌the United ⁢Nations General‌ Assembly in September. This announcement prompted swift criticism ⁤from Israel.
