Israel’s finance Minister threatened too resign during yesterday’s cabinet meeting.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an,Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Finance minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to resign amid discussions on the 2025 budget amendment.
The report states that Smotrich faced criticism from other ministers over cuts to his ministry’s budget, which were made to finance war-related expenses. Smotrich is known as a staunch supporter of the Gaza war.
Yesterday, the Israeli cabinet approved an increase in the defense ministry’s budget.
this development comes despite the Israeli military failing to achieve its objectives in Gaza after two years of conflict.
