According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Akhbar, dozens of young Lebanese held a presentation yesterday on Hamra Street in beirut and proceeded toward the Saudi Embassy building.
They expressed their opposition to the Lebanese cabinet’s decision to disarm the resistance movement.
The protesters emphasized that this decision was made under pressure from the United States and Saudi Arabia, affirming their support for the resistance against occupiers.
Following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and recent regional developments, the Israeli regime believes that now is its best chance to deliver a final blow to the resistance’s core. In this context, unprecedented pressure from Washington and some Western governments on Lebanon’s government to disarm Hezbollah is not an internal matter but part of a broader regional security engineering scenario benefiting Tel aviv. Even though presented under slogans such as “exclusive state ownership of weapons” and “economic reconstruction,” this plan poses a serious threat to Lebanon’s future and that of the entire resistance axis.
